Service.

  • Center for Hope

One of our favorite service projects is packing assorted healthy food items into boxes for holiday distribution at Whitehall’s Center for Hope. Each year our Rotary Club comes together to work with volunteers from other organizations in order to give back to our community. Would you like to join us? Email us.

As often quoted, “many hands make light work.” And it’s great to work beside other service-oriented neighbors.

  • Socktober

Whitehall Bexley Rotary Club is part of Rotary District 6690, and we often participate in district-wide projects. Every October, our district extends a “Socktober” challenge to our clubs, to purchase new socks (for men, women and children) that are then distributed to those who have none. Each club chooses their own distribution point. When each club does a little, a LOT is accomplished!

  • My Very Own Blanket

A new foster home can be a traumatic situation for a child on many levels, particularly in context of “belonging.” To help them along, a D6690 Rotarian has created an nonprofit called “My Very Own Blanket.”

Volunteers from all over Ohio help either buy, create or finish a blanket that will be given to a young boy or girl in the foster system. Each blanket has a “From …. For….” Tag. The person who finished the blanket adds their name to the tag in permanent ink. When presented to the child, they add their own name, knowing it will be theirs forever.
